All online courses are susceptible to possible technical difficulties. Fortunately, there are a number of steps you may take to minimize these potential issues. To that end, we have compiled a list of helpful tips:
1) Download the preferred web browser and always run your courses from there. We recommend using Google Chrome or FireFox. Both these browsers are free and experience fewer issues with your online courses. For your convenience, here are a couple of links for these browsers:
Google Chrome:

FireFox:

2) Run a system check using our "Tune-up My System" tool. You can find this tool in the lower right hand corner of the Online Course Support page (the same page you used to navigate to this Knowledge Base article).
3) We always recommend using a secure wired internet connection whenever possible. If you use a wireless connection or a mobile hotspot, not only do you run the risk of login issues, you might also experience connectivity issues while participating in time sensitive activities (such as timed quizzes or exams).
4) If something goes wrong, contact your instructor immediately to notify them of your situation. Your instructor’s contact information should be available within your course. Once you've notified your instructor, open a ticket through our support page and we can look into the issue further for you.
